Devil's Disciple

I finished this TVB series within a day and a half, of course with some forwarding. It was okay...I guess. Too much CG, looked very fake in some scenes.

Anyways...

The same actor, playing the same role.
Very respected clan leader, but turned out to be a greedy and evil man who does whatever he can to achieve what he wants.

I think I've seen him in 3 ancien series playing the same role over again!!! Ahhh!!! It was getting so confusing!!! And we all know what the ending is going to be.

There's also a girl named Tuyet, who throughout the series, is seeking for revenge. Her health is continously deteriorating because of the kung fu she is learning so she has to stop before it gets worse. However, she's most likely the only one who can fight against that old man mentionned earlier. In the end, she died while protecting the man she loves and her brother. She was the antagonist for more than half of the drama, until her long lost brother finally learns that the old master is the real meanie. It's sad that she has to die when she was at the point of only wishing for peace. Finally, she understood that revenge isn't a good idea and to live healthy with your loved ones was the most important.

Oh, by the way, Tuyet isn't the main girl of the series... although I normally like the actress playing the main girl, but in this series, she was only reading her lines.

Wah, the ending was so stupid. Tuyet's long lost brother actually likes two girls. Okay, no...maybe not. Ah... I don't know. He loves the main girl but has to let go because he owes the other girl... She gave up her virginity to save Tuyet who was on the edge of dying.

Long story.

So yeah... in the end, the main girl ended up alone. Tuyet's lover was alone too...since she died.

But...that's not the worse.

To defeat the old master, the long lost brother and Tuyet's lover gather different famous steps of kung fu and learned them within a night or so... They started to shout all famous names and with CG, it seems like they really know the steps.... Cuu Am Chan Kinh...whatever else...all the names were recognizable. Geez.

And then, the final scene, the actors came out in the street and started to dance and sing. What-the-hell?
